The 8th Stockwell Festival returned to Larkhall Park after a 2 year absence and the famous Pineapple Carnival Parade started the day!
Lady Pineapple and her baby pineapples as they weave through Stockwell's streets arriving at Larkhall Park for the festival fun day.
Stockwell's streets were lined with elaborate costumes, puppets and a giant ship. PLUS the Pineapple car with scooter outriders! With music and dancing from Uniao Da Mocidade it was a carnival party not to be missed.

The CARNIVAL Parade was organised by Stockwell Partnership working with partners Mandinga Arts, Bureau Of Silly ideas and Arts Community Exchange delivering a series of carnival workshops to the local community including Stockwell Primary School, Allen Edwards Primary School and the Oasis Children's Venture.
There was plenty of other stuff happening as well from Digger Rides, CRAZY BIKES, Magic Shows, face painting, hoola hoop workshops, eco craft activities, craft stalls, food stalls, shirt or squire cycle rides and the some super heroes from Europe!
URBAN II projects were showcased in the Community Space tent and projects such as Colourscape and Oasis Children's Venture participated at the festival.
The Stockwell Festival was definitely a fabulous day of entertainment for everyone to enoy!
